Strawberry Base

  • 250 g fresh strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Matcha Layer

  • 2 teaspoons ceremonial-grade matcha powder
  • 120 ml cold filtered water

To Serve

  • 2 cups ice
  • 500 ml unsweetened almond milk or Brazil nut milk

Method

  • Place the strawberries and maple syrup into a blender and blend until completely smooth. Set aside. Add another spoon of maple if desired.
  • Sift the matcha powder into a bowl or cup to remove any lumps. Add the cold water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk until smooth.
  • Divide the strawberry purée evenly between two large glasses. Fill each glass with ice.
  • Pour over the almond or Brazil nut milk, then gently top with the whisked matcha for a beautiful layered effect.
  • Stir just before drinking and enjoy immediately, ice-cold and refreshing.
Notes + Inspiration
  • Use Brazil nut milk for a natural selenium boost to support thyroid and metabolic health.
  • Add a scoop of collagen or plant protein to support lean toned muscle and blood sugar.
  • Reduce carbs and use monk fruit if desired.
